Unlike other recommended techniques of cleaning sensors, we use our own
uniquely designed vacuum system, in conjunction with other cleaning procedures,
instead of blowers that only move dust and particles rather than removing them.

Sensor cleaning is preventive maintenance, which can save a lot of time and money. For lower volume photographers, we do not recommend sensor cleaning until spots occur in images. We do however highly recommend seasonable sensor cleanings for high volume photographers particularly before and after peak seasons.

Our procedures involve much more than simply removing dust from the sensor. We also include a thorough cleaning of the chamber, and then test each camera by taking a series of images and examining them on the computer to insure the quality.

Dust particles, spots and residue are often invisible to the naked eye. For this reason we use magnification optics to aid in examining the interior chambers and sensors. Once the camera is clean, we install our new patent pending Dust Collector, which actually helps attract, trap and hold future dust from collecting on sensors.

Brightscreen® operates and performs all services in a totally dust free environment, maintained by state of the art HEPA, UV and dehumidifying technologies. A standby, on-demand generator is also utilized in conjunction with several auxiliary battery powered backup stations to insure all cameras are properly powered during technical repairs, tests, installation and sensor cleaning procedures.

We highly discourage camera owners from attempting to clean sensors. Cleaning with numerous current methods may actually cause damages, introduce even more dust, spots, streaks or residue. We recommend our cleaning services or the manufacturer.

We reserve the right to refuse sensor cleaning services for any
cameras which indicate prior improper cleaning, abuse or damage.

Focus check and calibration for DSLR cameras is now available as a new service. Some parts in cameras which control proper focus have been found to wear with use. New cameras can also be improperly calibrated. Our new focus check and calibration service is available now for $ 179.00 + return SHI delivery. This service can also be performed at a discount with our sensor cleaning services.

Combined sensor cleaning and focus check and calibration
is currently available for $ 299.00 + return SHI delivery.

Prices do not include return shipping, handling and insurance or any
applicable taxes or duties. Current standard 2nd return FedEx is $32 per
camera in all states excluding Alaska and Hawaii which is currently $ 52.
