Our new just
patented Nondeteriorating Mirror Cushion™ and seal replacement products were officially announced
Long time
observations of particles found in cameras concluded that the vast majority were
caused by the materials used in construction, particularly mirror cushions and
seals which
are composed of felt or foam.
Our working
prototypes of this new product, produced with proprietary materials, were
successfully tested in 2006 and our patent was granted in late 2009.
This black
foam and felt materials have been a real problem in the past decades for both
film and digital cameras. The deteriorating particles cling to viewfinders,
camera mirrors and also have been a leading cause of spots on digital camera
sensors / images. Even new cameras have been found to have fragments of these
particles.
Selected new and used
cameras can be retro fitted with the nondeteriorating cushion, and manufacturers
may choose to license the use of this product. Limited production and
availability along with press release announcements are currently scheduled for
early 2010. More details on availability will be provided soon.
