Please note: some lines are intentionally light, others are intentionally dark, some are thin and some are bold. There are numerous reasons for the variations of the lines we produce for cameras, all for the benefit of users including Patent Pending compensation factors for centering corrections of off center sensors and much more. In addition to crop lines, custom black masks for screens are also available to project only the desired image areas. New Patent Pending Crop Kits™.
Our engraved
etchings have been used for decades to produce our crop lines.
Numerous new, different and better technologies have now been added with various
patent pending application methods and new patent pending designs.
The following
illustrations represent the entire image capture area in white.
The black lines represent the composition and crop line areas. Number 1 and 2 illustrations
also show our new Patent Pending dual pairs of extra thin crop lines which
provides individual photographers the options of slightly up or down-sizing crop
areas. Smaller or larger head sizes can be created to individual preference to be sized using

Beware of copycat imitators copying our designs using primitively and extremely crude methods of "scratching" lines onto screens, AND OR ..crudely transferring markings. These crude "services" can void camera warranties and cause severe camera damages. Also beware of false statements. No one can produce thinner, crisper or better lines. To add insult to injury, they are leading others to believe our designs were their ideas.

Brightscreen® is preparing to strike back on copied crop designs and multiple patent infringements. On file evidence of our first fillings were documented and stamped on February 12, 1991 by the US Department of Commerce Patent and Trademark Office. As of June 27, 2006 multiple new utility patents were filed and documented. Our new utility patents reinforce multiple existing patents filed earlier including several existing designs, new ways crop lines are made, new technologies and crop designs.
