November
07, 2005 Brightscreen® filed a new patent application for new technology aimed
at eliminating the majority of the problems concerning dust and particles being
generated by digital and film cameras. Used
in conjunction with a second new patent pending product, developed earlier this
year, we anticipate a near 99% reduction in dust and particles.
In
October 2005 Brightscreen® entered into an agreement with Fuji Film USA to
share specific new technologies for possible future enhanced and/or improved
designs for camera features and/or functions.
In
the summer of 2005 Brightscreen® entered into a separate agreement with LPA
Design, manufacturers of Pocket Wizard, to share other new design & product
technologies for the possible future production of specific new devices to work
in conjunction with existing Pocket Wizards.
Earlier
in spring and summer of 2005 and through January 2006 BrightscreenÒ
developed and filed
five new patent applications, all pertaining to cameras.
One
new technology pertains to a new design of displaying aspect ratios / crops for
cameras. One embodiment of these new designs includes manufacturing
camera-focusing screens with North American standard aspect crop designs made at
the time of screen production. Other embodiments include producing and inserting
other parts, color printed designs and more to project or display specific crop
/ aspect ratio designs both in camera and on the LCD viewers or other viewing
finders / displays.
A
second new technology pertains to a new crop design, which indicates the precise
area of a die cut wallet. This new crop is the smallest area to come from within
the image area, and can also be used as a guide for square crop. This crop is
available now and can be used alone or in conjunction with other crop designs,
including 4x5 aspect ratios.
A
third new technology pertains to a new, user installable and replaceable
in-camera dust / particle collector. Different designs of this new product are
currently planed to be released in late November 2005.
In
addition, Brightscreen® is testing a new optical device and theory designed to
merge and consolidate data directly to images without the need of a computer or
other electronic devices. This new product could be highly advantageous to any
type of photography that requires names and or event data being added to the
image file at the time of the photography.
Another new Brightscreen® product in the final completion stages now is a camera dust maintenance and preventive kit, consisting of a portable small vacuum / blower, which is battery powered for field use (or optionally AC powered), cleaning solutions and pads, and antistatic treatments designed to remove and repel dust. This kit has been delayed for the formerly scheduled release date due to our extreme demand for other products. This new kit is currently now scheduled to be released late January or February 2006.
